St. Julians, Malta: On May 21, 2018, Moon Zebra, a Maltese startup that specializes in the setup and operation of cryptocurrency ATMs, showcased its cryptocurrency ATM (or short BTM) for the first time at the d10e Malta conference, which was held at the Radisson Blu hotel located in the beautiful St. Georges Bay.

d10e is the leading conference on decentralization and an international brand with already over 20 events organized. It chose Malta for the first time due to the upswing of the local blockchain industry and especially the need for jurisdictions with innovative legal frameworks. The conference was the largest of a kind dedicated to blockchain and decentralization that the small Island Nation has ever seen.

Moon Zebra exhibited it’s two-way Bitcoin ATM in the prestigious lobby of the Radisson Blu hotel. It did not just attract the conference attendees but also a significant number of hotel guests who were interested in the new technology.

During the day, the Moon Zebra team held plenty of mini-workshops to show the functionality and answer questions. The most frequent question asked was how many different cryptocurrencies could be offered by the ATM and how the exchange rates are working. “The machine allows us to offer any established cryptocurrency that is available. However, we only offer a selection of the most popular currencies according to local demand. Currently, we offer Bitcoin, Litecoin and soon Ethereum for competitive rates that are picked from the leading exchanges”, Markus Behmann explained.

The audience came from international financial hubs such as Singapore, Hong Kong, London, New York and Switzerland and D10e offered extensive networking and business opportunities. Moon Zebra and d10e organizers look forward to collaborating again on the next conference.
